This
is a review of a real contract with Satan. What does such a commitment require?
What are the consequences? Could it be people have committed themselves to Satan
without signing a formal agreement? Can a person who has been serving the Devil
be forgiven and escape his power?

Many of us may remember reading fictional stories about people who make a contract with Satan. But some people have actually done it or have been tempted to do so.
The following contract was confiscated from a student at Pine Mountain Middle School in Kennesaw, GA (March, 1989)*. We will quote the contract commenting as we go.
“This is a contract. The signing of this contract would mean the following:”
Satan tempted Jesus to do exactly this: worship him and serve him. Jesus responded:
Matthew 4:10 – “ Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’”
The Satan contract asks young people to commit to do what Jesus directly forbids. Satan offered Jesus all the kingdoms of the world if He would worship him. The Satan contract offers no benefits whatever for serving Satan.
This requires people, not just to disobey parents and lie, but to commit adultery and murder! And it must knowingly and deliberately be done as an act of service to Satan.
James 2:10,11 – For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.
You do not have to break all God’s commands to be a follower of Satan. Breaking just one command, if you do not repent and receive forgiveness, leaves you under the control of Satan.
So the contract makes clear that the end result of serving Satan is placement in hell! Even if you quit actively serving him, hell is still your eternal destiny. So why would anyone serve him?
Further, it implies you can become neutral between Satan and Christ.
Luke 11:23 – Jesus said, “He who is not with Me is against Me.” There is no such thing as being neutral in the conflict between Jesus and Satan. You must choose one or the other. So the contract correctly says, even if you try to be neutral, the end result will be eternal punishment.
This is true, but not in the way the contract means.
Romans 2:6-11 – God “will render to each one according to his deeds" – … to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness – indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek. … For there is no partiality with God.
God is not partial. In the end, all who serve Satan will receive the same reward.
Some tell us, “It does not matter how you worship.” What about worshiping Satan? Does that matter? But much worship is unacceptable even when people do not deliberately worship Satan.
John 4:23,24 – Those who worship God must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Matthew 15:9 – Worship based on human doctrines is vain.
So even worship offered sincerely by some who seek to serve God is still false worship.
“If you have any questions about the above or of the cult, feel free to talk to the leader of the cult. Sign below if you agree with this contract. Note! You are not signing your soul to Satan by signing this contract.

Sinbad the Satanic Priest”
This is a plain lie. How can one sign this contract without signing his soul to Satan? It clearly says you are committing yourself to serve Satan and reserve a place in hell even if you quit!
But you need not sign such a contract to become a servant of Satan.
Romans 6:16 – “Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?” Many people are unknowingly slaves of Satan because they have disobeyed God. This includes many religious people who consider themselves quite devout but are in error.
Romans 6:17,18,23 – “But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. style='color: black'> And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. … For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
So the beauty of the gospel is that those who have been slaves of Satan can become slaves of God through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Those who have been serving Satan, whether knowingly or unknowingly, can turn and be forgiven. But this requires true acknowledgment of sins, repentance, confession of Christ, and baptism for the forgiveness of our sins – Acts 2:38.
Have you received forgiveness of your sins of the blood of Jesus Christ?
